General principle for Albert Bichot or Hospices de Beaune/Hospices de Nuits wines sold en primeur (as futures)
Wines from Albert Bichot or the Hospices de Beaune or Nuits-Saint-Georges estates are sold en primeur (as futures) and shipped in autumn of Year+2 following harvest. Example: shipping in autumn 2024 for the wines from the 2022 vintage.
After your order, we will ask you in January Year +2 (January 2024 for the 2022 vintage) if you want to collect the wines in Beaune (for free, during weekdays, with appointment) or if you want the wines to be shipped to you in autumn 2024. You will also pay VAT at the same time if you live in Europe.
From when the wines are available, the customer has 4 months to collect the wines or ask them to be delivered at his/her cost. Beyond this, Albert Bichot reserves the right to ask the customer to pay storage fees.
Free collection of your order in Beaune
You can collect your order in our logistics center in Beaune, from Monday to Friday upon appointent. You will then of course have no shipping costs to pay. But you must pay VAT. Only wines paid in full can be collected
Shipping your order in France or other European countries
You’ll find below a first list of the countries where we can ship the wines with a delivery partner and associated costs for a delivery in 2024. Customer is supposed to check the parcels conditions upon reception and notify us within 48 hours if something is not OK, as well as notify the delivery company and / or to refuse the reception of the goods.
Shipping to other countries (USA, Asia…): please contact us for custom made solutions
If your country is not on the list above, we can still ship your wines if most cases. Please contact us before the auction or as soon as you can after your purchase to discuss this. Please note that there a few countries where shipping wine to a non professional is legally not possible at all.
