This terroir in 1er cru “Chaînes Carteaux” is at mid slope, overlooking the famous 1er Cru “Les Saint-Georges”, in the South end of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Savoir-faire: manual harvest in small 12 kg baskets. About 25% whole bunches. Traditional vinification. Manual cap-punching and alcoholic fermentation of 3 weeks in open wooden vats. Gravity transfer into 1 year old oak barrels.
Elegant and racy nose, black fruits, hints of spices (cumin) and violet.
Wide body with balanced structure. Fleshy and dense with good concentration.
